This item first appeared in the Mideast edition of Stars and Stripes a couple of days ago, but it hasn't been republished--or even confirmed--by MSM outlets.
The reason? Just look at the headline.
Colonel: Troops finding fewer roadside bombs.
And, it's worth noting that the decrease has been observed in a large, Sunni-majority area, presumably a prime breeding ground for insurgents (and IEDs).
Another positive sign that the troop surge is working.
